Granted, Singapore is not an old city but the city-state's modern history dates back to 1819 when Sir Stamford Raffles arrived in Singapore as Lieutenant Governor of the British colony. It's very easy to miss these places when you are cruising through the street among tall skyscrapers in downtown Raffles Place or Robinson Road.
